The project notepad
A full-width scratch pad at the bottom of every project page for quick notes, with the same editor as a file.
Every project page ends with a Notepad: a full-width scratch pad for anything that does not deserve its own file. Ideas mid-shoot, links to reference videos, notes from a sponsor call, a rough shot list.
How it works
Click into it and start typing. It uses the same editor as a project file, so you get the full formatting toolbar (bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, inline code, headings, bullet / numbered / to-do lists, quotes, code blocks, dividers, links, alignment, text color, and highlights) and the / slash-command menu. Everything autosaves as you type; the header shows "Saving…" and then "Saved".
There is one notepad per project. It is not listed in Files and it has no title, so it never clutters the file list.
Notepad or a file?
Use the notepad for scratch: short-lived notes you want in front of you whenever you open the project. Use Files for anything you will write at length, read from the Teleprompter, or want to pin, rename, or delete on its own.
Fold it away
Like every module on the project page, the notepad collapses: click its header to close it, and it stays closed on that project until you open it again. See Projects and the pipeline.
