Asset Vault

The Asset Vault is the workspace's central media library. Upload videos, images, and any other files, and organize them into folders that match how you work.

Upload and organize

Open Asset Vault in the sidebar, then drag files in or use Upload. Create folders and nest them freely.

Reorganize by dragging, just like Finder: drag a file (or a whole folder) onto another folder to move it inside, or drop it onto a name in the breadcrumb path bar to move it up to that level. This works in grid, list, and column views; in column view you can also drop onto a column's empty space. Prefer keyboard or menus? Cut/copy/paste shortcuts and the right-click menu move things too.

Select multiple files the same way you would in Finder: Cmd+click (Ctrl on Windows) adds or removes a file, Shift+click selects everything in between, Cmd+A selects the whole folder, and Shift+Up/Down extends the selection from the keyboard. Dragging any selected file moves the whole selection, and duplicate, copy/cut/paste, and delete all apply to everything selected. Click empty space or press Esc to deselect.

Each project also has its own Media section that works the same way, scoped to that project's footage and files.

Download files

Right-click a file and choose Download, or open it and use the Download button.

To download several at once, select them (Cmd+click / Shift+click), right-click the selection, and choose Download N items. Each file downloads separately, so your browser may ask once whether to allow multiple downloads from the page: allow it and the rest follow.

On a phone or tablet

The Vault is touch-first on small screens:

• Tap a file to open it, or a folder to go into it. No double-tap.
• Long-press a file or folder, or tap the ⋮ button on its tile or row, to open its actions - download, rename, duplicate, move, delete - as a sheet from the bottom of the screen. This replaces right-click, which a touchscreen has no way to do.
• Grid and List views are available; column view is desktop-only because its side-by-side panes need a wide screen and a keyboard.
• Downloads open in a new tab, so they work from the installed app as well as a browser tab.

Video previews

Every uploaded video is transcoded to a streamable preview automatically, so you can play it inline without downloading. A freshly uploaded video shows "Processing" until its preview is ready.

If a preview never arrives - stuck for more than half an hour - the tile shows a warning marker instead of the processing dots, and opening the file offers Retry preview. If the transcoding service itself is unreachable, the retry says so rather than silently queueing again. Either way the original file stays downloadable: a missing preview never blocks access to your footage.

Any streamable video in the Vault (or a project's Media) can collect comments pinned to a timecode. See Video review.

Storage limits

Vault storage is pooled across your account and depends on your plan: 2 GB on Free, 50 GB on Creator, 250 GB on Pro, and 1 TB on Studio. Check your usage under Settings, then Account, or in the Vault storage widget on the Dashboard.
